[![](http://www.thinkgeek.com/images/products/front/antworks.jpg)](http://www.thinkgeek.com/cubegoodies/toys/6fd6/?ref=jasontucker.blog)So a while back I got a “AntWorks” spaceaged ant farm. Growing up as a kid i had one but it sucked, if you moved it the tunnels would collapse. The description for the gel is as follows: *“This miraculous gel, derived from a NASA Space experiment, serves as both habitat and nutrition for your ants – allowing you to watch in awe as they turn a brick of aqua-blue gel into a fascinating colony of tunnels.”*.. and it doesnt colapse since its gel.

Anywho I tried catching ants… yea.. that isnt a simple task to say the least. Then again, i was trying to do it at a park near my work using a sugar cube and a piece of paper (not the best way i guess). So i got fustrated and went and ordered them from this place in Utah. It was 3.50 but man are the ants HUGE! I had the ants shipped to my house (i didnt wanna freak anyone out at work, since they open all mail that comes in via USPS) and they arrived in a small yellow envelope with a plastic vial in it filled with 25 ants. Ends up only 2 died durning shipment, and the ants carried the dead over to one side of the antfarm. (from what i read they do this so they wont get infected with disese, TRIPOUT!

Anyhow, I’ll snap some shots once they start tunneling.
