# Arizona Trip

The family is going on a trip to Arizona. “Arizona in the summer?” Yup. should be a blazing (and LONG) trip.

So here’s the loosely based literary:

Day 1 (Saturday)

1. Drive from Whittier and meet Mom and Bill in [Bullhead City](http://www.bullheadcity.com/?ref=jasontucker.blog), spend the night. (269 miles – 4.5 hrs)

Day 2 (Sunday)

1. Wake up and drive to [Oatman](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oatman,%5FArizona?ref=jasontucker.blog#Early%5Fhistory), see the town infested with donkeys. (25 miles – 40 mins)
2. Drive to [Kingman](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingman%2C%5FArizona?ref=jasontucker.blog) and take a picture in front of [“Tucker Street” sign](http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=tucker,+st+Kingman,+AZ&sll=35.200868,-114.060123&sspn=0.008697,0.023518&ie=UTF8&ll=35.212106,-114.015942&spn=0.008696,0.023518&z=16&om=1&ref=jasontucker.blog) for [TuckerTales ](http://www.tuckertales.com/?ref=jasontucker.blog)(yeah I’m a dork). (28 miles 1hr)
3. Drive to their house in [Seligman](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seligman%2C%5FArizona?ref=jasontucker.blog) and spend the night. (79 miles – 1.25 hrs)

Day 3 (Monday)

1. Wake up and go to South Rim [Grand Canyon take the bus to all the spots](http://www.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/shuttle-buses.htm?ref=jasontucker.blog) when we arrive there. (110 miles – 2hrs)
2. Check out the [Grand Canyon Caverns](http://www.gccaverns.com/?ref=jasontucker.blog) on the way back to Moms. (25 miles)

Day 4 (Tuesday)

1. Go to [Flagstaff ](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flagstaff%2C%5FArizona?ref=jasontucker.blog)and visit the [Northern Arizona Museum](http://www.musnaz.org/?ref=jasontucker.blog) (84 miles)
2. Drive to the [Meteor Crater](http://www.meteorcrater.com/?ref=jasontucker.blog) past Flagstaff. (40 miles)
3. Drive back to Flagstaff and check out the [Lowell Observatory](http://www.lowell.edu/?ref=jasontucker.blog). (40 miles)
4. Drive back to Seligman. (84 miles)

Day 5 (Wednesday)

1. Wake up and drive to Sedona and play at the [Side Rock State Park](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slide%5FRock%5FState%5FPark?ref=jasontucker.blog). (The place looks fun, found some [great pictures of it on Flickr that sold us on going](http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=slide%20rock&w=all&ref=jasontucker.blog). (102 miles)
2. Check out [Sedona](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sedona?ref=jasontucker.blog)
3. Drive to Seligman. (102 miles)

Day 6 (Thursday)

1. Stay local and just chill (er, [whatever you do there in Seligman](http://www.flickr.com/search/?w=all&q=seligman&m=text&ref=jasontucker.blog)) and hang out with Mom and Bill.

Day 7 (Friday)

1. Pack and leave to [Mesa, AZ](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesa%2C%5FAZ?ref=jasontucker.blog) (233 miles)
2. Hang out with [Dan and CJ and their family](http://www.lovelongandprosper.com/?ref=jasontucker.blog)
3. Sleep

Day 8 (Saturday)

1. Say good byes and drive back home. (376 miles)
