First day commuting to work on my bike
Last week I took my bike to the shop to get a tune-up and some repairs done. I wrote about that on my earlier post where I outlined the various things I’m going to need to buy and do to start commuting to work using my bike. Today was finally the day to take on the 7-8 mile trek to work, let’s see how I did.
I had a plan Ok, I sorta had a plan, the night before I went to bed before midnight (that's early for me) I woke up at 6am and got ready, I ended up wearing my typical work gear: shorts, t-shirt (WordPress themed, of course) and standard issue socks and shoes.

Levi's Bike Commuter Workspace
I love seeing companies embrace a group of people and really take on the challenges that they face. Whenever I start doing research on things I want to get involved in, most recently commuting to work using my bike I come across some interesting articles. I love coworking spaces and places to stop by and meet like-minded folks, recently Levi’s announced that in Los Angeles, London and Brooklyn they are opening a commuter workspace.

The best guides are the one written by people learning themselves. Help me help you and share your thoughts and experience on bike commuting to work. I’m going to start this out by saying, I need to lose weight. Last week after a few Facebook posts and twitter posts from friends talking about bike riding I got this idea in my head that I too can ride my bike and not only that I can ride my bike to and from work.

Weekend Fitness Recap - Kayaking & Cycling
We had some great times together with family this weekend. I spent some time with my youngest daughter Kayaking and Bike Riding with her and tracked it all using the tools (RunKeeper & LoseIt!) I introduced you to in my previous post.
Friday We went to our aunt's house in Newport and did some kayaking. We didn't do a full day of kayaking but we capped off the evening with 30 minutes of it: youtu.
