Simply Spoilers Podcast
I’ve hosted a few podcasts over the last few years and I’m looking to add another one to my list. WPwatercooler, my most recent one has gone strong for the last 90+ episodes and has been a joy each week to record. I’ve wanted to start a new one with a non technical slant yet something I can have fun with. The technical stuff is fun to me but that’s easy, I wanted to do something that is a bit outside of that.

BC Jean at Hard Rock Cafe 4/18 - SocialCam Test
Tonight I went with my good friend Bill Palmer (@beatweek) to check out a singer / song writer BC Jean (@bcjean) at the Hard Rock Cafe on Hollywood Blvd. We got there a bit early and had some fun playing an impromptu game of pong using the Faux-Microsoft-Surface-hung-on-a-wall that they use to show off all the music memorabilia on this interactive display. As I set out to blue screen the thing I ended up figuring out that you can fling the photos from one side of this 30" plus display to the other and bunch everything up on one side.

Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight
I’ve been listening to the latest efforts of Linkin Park entitled Minutes to Midnight and after the first listen I like some of it. One of my favorite tracks on the album is “Bleed it out” it has quite a bit of energy and really had my running on the treadmill at the gym. There are some super soft tracks and some uber hardcore tracks both of which were fine to be on the album but it got me a bit confused at times.

Jurassic 5 - Feedback
J5 has released their new album today called Feedback. I’ve been listening to it and I’m diggin' it. “Radio” is a tight song and “Work it out” feat Dave Matthews Band is damn soulful. J5 and Dave Matthews on the same track just works and very well at that.
If your a J5 fan you gotta get this album. I hear they will be playing at House of Blues pretty soon here too.

Logmein.com
Here at work we were having this problem where the user is wanting to connect remotely to her computer at work. The user is on an unknown net connect (may have NAT, or may not, may be on wireless or may not) so we had to have it work no matter what connection she was on. At first I setup a ssh tunnel that connected her to her desktop using RealVNC.

Atmosphere - You Can’t Imagine How Much Fun We’re Having
I’m diggin this album very classic Slug.. The beats on this albums are very tight especially “Little Man”
I watch the way you try to keep your mom happy/
Daddy learned that from you/ You're supposed to learn that from daddy. ...on this track he's talking about his 11-year-old son on this way chill beat. From what I gathered Slug is 33 now and this song explains his relationship with his son he had with his highschool sweethart and later broke up with.

The Toddler Owner’s Manual
The Toddler Owner's Manual: Operating Instructions, Troubleshooting Tips, and Advice on System Maintenance My rating: 5 out of 5 The Baby Owner's Manual that I purchased before my daughter was born was a great way for a technical person like myself to learn the ways of the Baby. I just picked up this book "The Toddler Owner's Manual" and its just as good if not better. They have cute schematic diagrams with arrows indicating what each of the toddlers parts are.
