# Downloading YouTube videos and extracting audio from them

Today I thought I’d do a video tutorial on how to use 4K Video Downloader to download videos from YouTube and extract the audio from them. This will create an mp3 file that you can use for your audio podcast. I use this same workflow to create the audio podcast version of [WPwatercooler](http://wpwatercooler.com/?ref=jasontucker.blog) (my weekly YouTube web show and podcast).
