I'm an IT guy by trade and a tinkerer by nature, based in the Whittier, California area.

By day I keep the tech running at a local nonprofit church, managing everything from network infrastructure and security cameras to cloud services and phone systems. If it has a blinking light and an IP address, it's probably my problem.

By night (and weekends) I'm deep in my homelab. My Unraid server hums along running Plex, a full media automation stack, and more Docker containers than I'd like to admit. Home Assistant has slowly consumed my house, with lights, cameras, garage doors, solar, and a Tesla Powerwall all talking to each other in ways that probably over-engineer simple problems. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I write here mostly to document what I'm building and breaking. If you've ever spent three hours debugging a container networking issue and then wanted to write it down so Future You doesn't suffer the same fate, this is that kind of blog. I figure if it helped me, it might help someone else who ends up down the same rabbit hole.

Outside of the tech stuff, I'm into Formula 1, board games, and tending to my roses.

If something I've written helped you out, or you just want to geek out about Grafana dashboards or *arr stack configs, feel free to reach out.
