First Day…
Ok, I suck.. I neglected to write about my first day at work here at EJ.
Came into the office and all the servers were down. Weeeee fun, (tech talk here) dhcp, samba, printers, everything was down. I got in about 10 mins early so I had time to recover. Total downtime was 20 mins, but thats because I needed to track some stuff down and think up what needed to be taken care of.
Later went to Frys at lunch to pick out a laptop and then to Carls to eat. I think im going to go with the Toshiba M35-S350 but we’ll see how that goes.
Met up with the “Mac People” over in the art department and helped them with a networking issue on the 2 macs they have. Got that all up and running for them. They were soo stoked since it would save them sooo much time and effort to transfer stuff. No reason to “sneakernet” it when you can just drag and drop into a share and away it goes.
