Just one of those days..
Today is going to be a busy day, I can feel it. Yesterday I ordered 7 new computers and 4 new monitors; I’m trying to update all the boxes we have here in the office to some more recent stuff. I have a few boxes here running 2000, some I’m going to keep on 2000 since the person would flip if I switched them to XP. I can see it now “Jason, my computer is weird, I cant find <insert non work related item here> on my desktop, what happened to it?” or.. “Jason, I dont like the color green, why is the start button green?” – users I tell ya, they are never happy.
Today I gotta stage and setup the newly purchased boxes, slap XP and Office and a few other bits on it then deploy them. I doubt the deploying will happen today tho, since I wont be getting the boxes until 2:00pm. I reworked my office to I now have a “work bench” to do my computer building on. It’s been a growing trend here, 1 computer died, then 5 die.. so I have to scramble to get new ones deployed. Fortunatly I have spares ready to go if that does happen. Anyhow heres a pic of my office. Wow, I cleaned it a bit! 🙂
