Lightning & Thunder
As my stepson Chris would say “Wholy smokes!”, last night was most likely the largest amount of concentrated lightning and thunder storms that I have ever seen/heard. It all started at 2:00am this morning when Jen and I were in bed and this loud BANG and FLASH happened. Both of us woke up and said “Wholey SHIT!” (whats with us an that word wholey anyhow?) and started looking around. You know how usually you can hear thunder and then later see the lightning (or the other way around). Well this shit just happend RIGHT THERE, no delay.. no 10 second count down. So we both pop up and run out the room to check on stuff. Jen heads to the kids rooms (ends up Caitlin was in Chris’ room laying on the floor near the bedroom door, and Jen tripped on her). I ran to the front door to see if anything was going on out there. Jessalyn on the other hand, was sound asleep through all of it (YAY our conditioning worked!). Jen and I met back up at the front door and turned off our cars alarm (it kept going off after each thunder strike). Some of the lightning/thunder were close, others were pretty spread apart. After about 30 mins of watching and calming the kids now (sans Jessalyn who was still sleeping) we headed off to bed.
