Mounting multiple Google Drives on a Mac, is CloudMounter the best?
Cloud storage is the thing now days, why can I only mount one Google Drive on my mac?
I like most folks interact with a few different cloud provided storage systems, Google Drive, One Drive, Box, Dropbox and even more than one instance of each. When using your Mac you can only be logged into one at a time using the official Google Drive app, why? I suppose only Google can answer that and it doesn't sell more ads so maybe that's why. I dug around (on Google) and found CloudMounter an app that lets you mount multiple instances of cloud storage on your Mac (and Windows) and have them show up as drives. CloudMounter provides a 14 day free trial and is $29.99 and supports a bunch of cloud storage systems:
Google Drive
Dropbox
Amazon S3
OneDrive
WebDAV
Solutions
Openstack
FTP
SFTP
Box
Backblaze
The FAQ mentions FUSE a few times and I need to investigate this a big further, one thing in particular that is mentioned is this question:
Why the drive that I mounted in CloudMounter is case-insensitive?
Mounted drives will remain case-insensitive regardless of the type of connection used, when FUSE for macOS is not present in the system.
Have you used this app before? know of something better? Leave me a comment or find me on socials and hit me up.
