Sell me on why I should watch Torchwood

Why should I watch Torchwood? After looking a bit further it looks like its a spinoff of Dr Who… omg, I’m sooo in.

Let me know your thoughts. I have no problem starting from Episode 1 Season 1 to catch up.

We call it quits for WPwatercooler and then this happens weeks later.
