Sick & Wordpress
I think I’m getting sick *again*. All day yesterday I was coughing and sneezing and had a runny nose. Last night after dinner Jen asked me “Are you getting sick again?” uhhhhgh, even she noticed. I really hope I dont get her, the kids or anyone else sick. I used some Zicam last night and took some this morning. That stuff for whatever reason doesnt work very well for me, I’m not sure why really. I think it has to do with the fact that I hate having a runny nose and I blow my nose quite a bit.
In other news, I updated wordpress on my abstrakone.com site, they came out with a new version of it and I’ve been waiting for a few of the plugins I use the most to be updated. One of the big ones is the LJ cross poster ( http://ebroder.net/livejournal-crossposter/ ) the author didnt do an update but someone figured out how to get it working and posted a quick fix:
Dotan Dimet Says:
January 24th, 2007 at 8:33 amTo make a WP2.1 compatible version, take the latest plugin, and do the following edits on lj_crosspost.php:
1 – Comment out line 35:
// require_once(ABSPATH . ‘/wp-includes/template-functions-links.php’);
This file is no longer part of wordpress, and it looks like whatever functions are defined there get included elsewhere. Once I commented that out, the plugin works.2 – For extra bonus points, replace every instance of die(…) with wp_die(…) – I saw this in wp-comments-post.php. This doesn’t do anything too useful, but it replaces the plain text fatal errors with official-looking, styled HTML fatal error messages, with wordpress logo and everything.
The biggest feature in this new version of WordPress I’ve been waiting forever for is the auto save feature. They added some AJAX goodness that will save the post while your typing it in. Sorta like what google docs or gmail does.
