Weekend Update

Friday

My cousin John and I have been wanting to meet up and hang for a while now and today was that day. At 5:45 after work he came by and picked me up. We headed out to Valley View casino in the San Diego area to eat at their awesome buffet. The plan was to go in and wait in line to get my “Players Card” which required me to give up my personal info. After that they would give me a ticket for the buffet for free. That line was about 15 minutes long, and the buffet line was about 45 minutes long. The food selection at the buffet was impressive for an Indian casino: King Crab legs, sushi, shrimp, prime rib, pizza, calzones etc. After that we went for desert. They had chocolate fountains and other goodies. I went to the fruit bar and got a shortcake and piled on the awesome fruit selection they had.

After dinner at 10:00pm we left Valley View and headed to my cousin’s favorite: Pala Casino and Spa. This place rivals most casinos in Vegas bar none. My cousin being the big spender he is did his thing while I checked out the automated Roulette table. By the end of the night I was down $60 (thats all I took with me) and we headed home.

On our way home we did quite a bit of catching up, and bringing each other up to speed on our lives. I think we’ll end up doing something like this one a month or so. I had a great time with him and I think he did as well.
Saturday

Since I got in at 1:30am this morning I slept in. After which I kicked it at home with the baby and then Jen took off to her friend Christies house for a birthday party. I stayed home and watched Rumor Has It while the baby was sleeping. After the movie I went over to Christies and hung out and showed off the baby.
Sunday

A co-worker asked me to drive up to his place in Woodland Hills to install his new computer and transfer his data. I left at 12:15 and needed to be there by 1:00. I got there at 1:05, not bad for leaving at the time that I did. We went to Best Buy and picked him out a machine ($999 for tower, keyboard, mouse, LCD, and a printer). They were upgrading from a 776 ghz box to a 3.x ghz box. I copied the data over for them and they were up and running. I got home in 45 mins which was pretty damn good for the distance which was 109 miles round trip. Around 10:30 Jen went to bed and Jess didn’t want to yet. She stayed up with me and she took small 15 minute naps until 11:45pm when I wanted to go to sleep but she didn’t. Midnight rolled around and she wanted to play and cry. By 12:20 I gave up and went into the bedroom and tried to rock her to sleep on the rocker. Jen was sleeping but hear Jess pout and had be put her in bed with us. By 1:00am Jess was asleep and in her own bed.
