Weird feelings
So today I’ll be attending my Aunt Cindy’s funeral. I have a feeling its going to be very weird there. See, I havent seen my Aunt for a LONG time. I think the last time I saw her was when I was 13.. or something around there. My brother was saying he’s barely remembers her and her kids. See they moved away when I was young and we’d get cards from them at random holidays throughout the years. They seems like good enough people back then but my mom and her had a falling out so I didnt get to see them. Well, lemme take that back, she had a falling out with my Mom and my Mom just did her own thing. Anyhow a few years ago my Aunt and Mom’s mother died so I started digging around online to look for her. I found her, learned she had a business with her husband and their kids were doing pretty good. I also found her kids on myspace but never friended them. Last October or November my uncle took his own life and my family found out about it through the family grapevine. Its true bad news does travels fast.
Since I dont know this side of my family all that much dues to distance its kinda weird to hear about them and since thats all I know about them its hard not to prejudge them or try and come up with wacky and zany conclusions to whats going on in their lives. Well a few weeks ago my Aunt was in the hospital and later died. Services for her are today and its going to feel really weird going to the funeral. I think mainly because I dont REALLY know my cousins (her kids) and the 2 people I didnt know are no longer living from their family. I can only feel sad for my cousin (their daughter) for having to deal with all this mess. She’s at least 5 or 7 years younger than me and I cant imagine what she is going through. She does have her brother to help her but then again I dont know whats going on in their lives. Anyhow the funeral is today and I cant imagine how its all going to go down and how weird of a feeling its going to be to meet these people I dont know much about yet share the same sort of feelings about the event thats occuring around us.
