What programs do you use?
This meme is based on a question on Slash dot regarding the first 10 programs you install on a fresh install of your OS on your computer.
My question is… what programs do you use the most on your computer, both at home and at work (if you work)
Heres mine: (I use linux at work)
Work
KJots – Notetaking utility
Kopete – AIM/ICQ program.. I use this instead of Gaim since it kakes less resources.
Mozilla – Obviously
Moveable Type – Ok, so it isnt a software for the computer, but i do all my bloggin on it.
Crossover Office (Wine) – Emulates Windows, Mainly used for IE and MS Word. Dreamweaver and Photoshop and msmedia player with well with this too.
Gallery Remote – Great for uplaoding images from the day before to my gallery.
Evolution Email – Linux’s replacement for Outlook. 🙂
Gimp – Photoshop replacement, but well, it will never replace photoshops simplicty and way of going about things.
MySQL Control Center – Great app for doing stuff on the SQL servers here at work.
