Woah, I do have a blog. I totally forgot!

We’re moved in to the new place now. Most of the utilities and other misc stuff has been forwarded to our new address, I haven’t seen any come with a forwarding sticker but I suppose its due to me telling the companies about our new address.

Work was interesting the last couple of days. We had a few people leave the company/quit/asked to leave and lots of people shifted from one position to another. Most of them were upgrades or lateral changes so they are all in good spirits about it. Because of this I have the task of moving people to their new desk and transporting their machines or copying over their data. This task would be easier if our Active Directory was setup to allow for roaming profiles but it isn’t.

One of my projects I’ve been working on is finally coming to a close here at work. I’m happy to see it go, we expected it to be done two months ago but due to some rather crazy situations beyond our control the company we used pigeon holed themselves into a wall and had to eat some dev time. Been there done that, it was truely their own fault though.

Last night I went with Scott to the OC Podcasters Meetup held at the Fox Sports Grill in Irvine. 20+ people showed up which was good since we had lots to cover at this meeting. Fortunately the team that is working on our group’s booth at the Podcast & Portable Media Expo is small enough that we didn’t need to get EVERYONE involved in the discussion. We exceeded the amount of money we needed to cover the misc booth costs (excluding the booth cost, which was donated to us). The expo is in 14 days and all the podcasters that attended last night were very excited. Most of the people I talked to described the event as a mini comdex with microphones and booze. We’ll see how that goes, this year they are expecting 4000 people to attend.
We finalized the booth schedule and Steve and I will be working the booth at the following times:

Friday the 29th
(10am-11am) – The GeekFit crew – Jason Tucker and Steven Klassen sharing the booth with FatGuyRadio‘s own Russ Turley.
