I have a Mac Pro that I’m retiring as our Mac server at work and have replaced it with a Mac Mini Server. One of it’s jobs being handed over is dealing with our printing and AirPrint on the network (we use Printopia for that). I’ve been looking for a solution to migrating all of the printers and their configs over to the new machine (since this migration this didn’t happen during the use of migration assistant). My Dell server is too old for a solid GPU, so a big photo import meant a stuck ML queue. Instead of buying hardware, I use a M4 MacBook Pro to burn through the backlog, plus a Home Assistant automation to flag it next time.
