What if Google Glass just didn’t have a camera?
In my previous post about the Social Implications of Google Glass I talked about how the main reason why people are going to be afraid of you wearing Glass is it’s onboard camera. Aside from it not being as cool, what if Glass didn’t have a camera? When smartphones started to get popular a number of companies were selling them with and without cameras. I wanted to take a look at what if Google Glass didn’t have a camera at all, would the Google Glass is banned on this premises ideas still exist?
When anything new in technology comes out that breaks the mold like Google Glass there are going to be social implications regarding it. As I stated above there was a time when many work places (typically government agencies) that would ban the use and or rights to have a mobile phone that had a camera in it.
